Knocking sound...

Bonjourno.

Having sucessfully managed to kill the old clio, I went out and got another one. All was fine to start with, but now there is a knocking sound coming from the car - it gets faster with speed, and doesn't make the noise when the car is stationary, even if you rev it.

Any ideas? It's a mk 1 1.4RT Champs Elysees

Anyone? I'm thinking it's either the driveshaft or steering CV joints - does thi sound about right.

could be the driveshaft. can you feel anything when it knocks? does it do it when going around round-abouts?
