K750 i memory card help

I have purchased a sandisk 512 MB card for my K750 i.

it doesn't work - does the phone take this big a card or is it more likely that the card is buggered. Phone works fine with the 64 MB card.

nope, have worked out why it wasn't working.

card does not work when it is plugged in the USB.

i noticed this with my w800's card - anything that you wanna transfer from the phone has to be in the phones memory before being moved via USB. also, anything that goes onto the phone from a PC has to be put into the phones memory before being moved to the card memory after the USB cable is removed.
