K&N PANEL FILTER?

Are they worth the money on a DCI is it true they can reduce noise??? or have I been reading bullshlt???

I drive with a KN panel filter in my DCI 65 and I cant feel or hear anything different. Maybe its just me ... But I think the KN is a better filter.
I bought mine so I dont have to pay £10 for a new on for every service. That was the main reason.
