Just won this on ebay

a 172/182 with 15k on it gearbox for £124 bargain or rip off? Anyone know any good courier services that do pick up and deliver?

i was gonna buy this as he lives round corner from me as i thought i had gearbox issues made a trip upto leeds and back and its defo not the case so i left it, enjoy mate!

Not overly complicated to fit but its a pain in the arse to get the out box out and the new box in. If its anything like my 1.6 which I imagine it will be you'll have to drop the subframe, other than that standard gearbox removal/refitting procedure.

So when i go to my mechanic and say, how much to fit a cambelt and gearbox, i'll be dropping my pants and bending over?

Took me about 6/7 hours to get it out working on my own with only axle stands and a jack to work with and about the same to put it all back again.

If your going to a mechanic i'd say its time to get lubed up.
