just few q's,regards preping spoiler

just gonna pop down to me garage and sand down me spoiler,just bought some 800,1200,1500 grit wet dry! just wanted to kno where to stop rubbing if u get me!lol start with 800 and im guessing gradually work down to the primer?:S dnt kno could sum1 help me plz?

Use the 800 to remove the old laquer and the top few layers of paint. Then use the 1200 to finish the job off by removing any remaining imperfections in the surface. Then i would use the 1500 to smooth the whole lot down under running water while sanding.

no need to remove the old paint, just key the surface and get painting
