about 2 months ago i had the middle section of my exhaust removed for a strait through, since then the car has been getting worse n worse with the running when cold, its got to the point where its acting like a carb does when it black spots.

i decided to remove the battery overnight after bein told this resets the ecu. since i have put the battery back on all my running problems have gone.

What exactly does it do when u leave the battery off, if anything.

I dont really understand what its done lol

it resets the ECU causing it to have to "re-learn" your driving style, fuelling etc

ahh right, that makes sense, so im guessing if i had done this when i had the centre box removed i wouldnt have had the running problems
