Iphone & Appointments

Im changing my blackberry next month and was wondering if there is a way for the Iphone to display calender appointments on the front screen like the blackberry does?

I was messing around with my brothers Ipod touch and couldnt see a way to do it on that.

only if you jailbreak it and install intelliscreen or similar.

Its one annoying issue i wish they would sort out, or at least have a badge on the calendar icon to notify you of something today.

yeah iv noticed the iphone has some really basic features missing! its odd! my blackberry has the calendar and i find it really usefull, infact pretty much every phone i have owned has had some sort of calendar/notifications on the front screen
