Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Anyone considered buying outright on a simplicity deal with voda/o2 then get a proper sim contract for it when you know more about who's getting 4g etc?
i really don't rate tmobile or orange, to me they have always seemed like 3rd best. But they are offering the best packages so I'm stuck with what to do
this iteration of iPhone will not work with voda or o2 4g, so theres your decision made.

I'm going with Orange. Decision made. Going to pre-order it this afternoon.

4G data and a slightly lower monthly to boot. £140 for the phone.

Done.

At all?! Lol why not?

So iPhone 5 will never do 4g on O2.
they are using a different band to the EE (orange and tmobile) one and this version of the iPhone 5 won't support it, no doubt there will be a new one launched for o2 and voda users like in the US when a similar thing happened, or they might just wait until the s model this time next year.

Just sold my 16GB 4S for £315. Not bad.

And this 4G/LTE stuff. I'm going to stick with my O2 sim until I know who's doing what on PAYG/Rolling contracts.

I think I will do the same..how ever when 4g is rolled out will it be nationwide or very limited to some big cities?

4G is pointless until its more widely available... regardless of the network!

I will start to worry about it next year when its progressed abit more.

Hang on a second then. What is arguably the best deal for PAYG sims? I want unlimited texts more than anything else, and a decent data allowance. I don't really want to leave o2 but f*ck me if there's far better deals available I guess it's hard to argue.

I take it I wouldn't be able to transfer my current o2 number to a new sim service provider?

Orange Dolphin unlimited texts and 1GB allowance is £30 a month. No.

I'll wait until I have consistent 3G before I start to worry about 4G.

That's what I'm thinking. o2 Simplicity £15 or so a month for 12 months and then think about changing when 4G kicks in.

Lol on the EE 4g coverage map I'll be nowhere near the nearest 4g coverage area.. That makes my decision easier.. Stick with voda/o2!

O2 prices are up, can't compete with T Mobile, same monthly cost and TMobile offers Unlimited data as opposed to O2's 1GB for the grand total of £10 handset price extra.

What is this on & on thing O2 are offering??

Also I only see 2 year contracts... Sim free is looking like the way to go but I'm waiting a few weeks till I can walk into apple without queuing and just buy one and get a nano sim in an O2 store just after it

£26pm if i pay £350 for the 32GB..... would get near enough that for my 4S i reckon..... tempting!

Would just have to limit my surfing!!!

How do people find Vodaphone? I'm very tempted as I can get 20% off tariff prices. I'm with o2 at the moment.

Edit: Bin that, I've just read the 20% doesn't apply to iPhone tariffs. I'll stay with o2.
