Internet Connection Sharing help

  DC2 TypeR / E36 328i
Evening all, I've tried to do this before with little success.

A quick overview of what I'm trying to achieve:
I want to give my TV internet access. I have it plugged in to my computer, which gets its internet from a wireless adapter.

So far I've:
Connected it with both a straight and a crossover cable
Tried manual and auto configuration.
Set static IPs all around with no sucess.

The TV gets on to the network in its diagnostic tool, but fails on the default gateway. So should the default gateway be that of the router or the pc or whatever else?

I have a decent understanding of networks and devices but cannot work this one out.

Anyone? Going to try bridging now but that never works either!

Bridge or Share the internet connection on the PC and use static IP's setting the default gateway on both to be the router or modem

Default gateway should be the same for both the PC and the TV and is simply the IP of the router.

Have you set the PC to share its internet connection?

Yep sure have. Wonder why it can't see the router

Bridged connection is working now.

Weird how things seem to sort themselves out once you ask for help!

Thanks anyway boys
