interior paint

  Clio 172 Cup; A3 3.2
hi

can anybody explain to me briefly what would be involved in painting (painting, priming sandins? ) the interior of my clio?
i have it stripped out for the track and before putting in the cage i started playing with the thought of painting the complete inside.

i have a paint gun so thats a start. although never used haha.
also it doesnt have to be an amazing job as long as it looks better than it does now!

btw thinking of white.

thanks for any help

best rgds robert

Personally would:

Rub back
Paint with etching primer
Rub back
Paint with primer
rub back
paint with colour of choice
Lacquer is required

  Dodgy one
^^ f**k about!! lol

Red scotch, Wet on wet prime, nib s**t, base coat, laquer.

DONE

The shells are already primed where theres no basecoat inside

Don't use rattle cans, you'll use no end of them to paint the whole inside. If you've got a compressor and gun already then definitely make use of them, I use auto-paint for supplies.

Rub back.
Prime (2pk)
Wet sand (800/1200)
Basecoat
Lacquer (2pk)

i want to do the inside of mine,
poss wait until the summer

i was just going to get all of the sound proofing off,
key the metal up abit,
and use white primer, then gloss white,
then laquer!

i think the masking up is going to be the biggest ball ache!

seats out, cage out,
mask up all the glass,
and everything that cant be removed!

meh my cage is going white as well, so keeping that in but i cant be fooked to remove all the dash again!!

I'm going the easy but expensive route with mine soon, straight to the bodyshop. Collect a few days later. Can't be arsed with the hastle of spraying when I don't have the equipment or skills needed. Plus I want a good job doing

either way surely youll get a better job painting the cage outside of the car?? then just put it back in after?

is your cage a full cage or just a half cage??
