Insurance for test drives

  Monaco 172 2/468
I've never bought\sold a car privately, so I was wondering how people go about insurance for a test drive

I'm sure many people will have 3rd party cover from their own policies, so a test drive wouldn't be illegal, but I guess there's always the risk of an accident that is your fault

Do people just risk it, or get day insurance ?....or something else lol

Yeah i'd seen that day insure mentioned somewhere, maybe that would be the best option.

You would have thought your own insurance companies could offer you thing like this for cheap

They might do if you ask?

Trouble is i was seeing 2 or 3 cars a day beause some where written off and some where just s**t. So it would be exspensive to be insured on 2 or 3 different cars, especially if your not going to be taking any of them home.
