Insurance advice needed

  Trophy 373
I am 18 years old and have had my licencse for a bit over a year now. After passing my test i bought a clio 1.4 16v dynamique and was on my parents insurance. I had one accident which was non-fault which turned out to be with a cloned car and so my insurance had to pay. Then in september i rolled the car and wrote it off resulting in a £5k pay out by my insurance. I also have 3 points on my license for speeding.

I am now looking to buy and insure a car and would like another clio. I am also quite interested in the diesel models as they seem to be relatively cheap to run and have a good reputation.

I was looking at the 1.2 corsa sxi (80) a little while ago and got a quote for £1400 3rd party yet with a clio 1.5 dci (100) i was getting quotes in excess of £4000 (elephant insurance). I realise the clio is insurance grp 5 vs the corsa at grp 3 but the difference is susbstantial. Are there any companies about that would provide better quotes/ specialise in young drivers or drivers with fault claims ?

Dci 65 your best going for mate if you've had claims tbh,

Try some quotes on the 80 rather than the 100,

Seems to be alot better than the 100 and you can remap to some tidy figures!
