Installing the Radiator

I am wondering how exactly you mount the radiator in my 2008 mk3 tce.

I put it in the bottom mounts the tried to put it into the top but there is about a 10-15mm gap from the top of the wee metal point to the rubber hole on the underside of the black plastic slam barrier.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is it a new rad or old one? Gen or non gen? Is it due to accident / damage?
