Immobilizer light flashing

Looking for advice on this one, my 172 Cup won't start, soon as the key is inserted and switched on the immobilizer light flashes fast. No fuel pump primes.

My sister dropped the keys couple of hours before we realized it doesn't start. I've checked the battery in the keyfob, the chip seems fine. No broken solder or lose parts. Still locks and unlocks the car ok.

Any ideas?

Normally the chip in the key is dead if youve got a flashing red light, got a spare key to try?

I'm thinking this, I don't have a spare key. Reno want the car in 1st to check its that. I'm trying to save some money and time by checking things today. Otherwise I'm gonna have to take a day off of work and go from there.
