Idling?!?!

Hey, Anyone know why my 172 is idling irrattic after a few minutes??? to start wiv its fine but if u sit in the car for a few minutes it starts to pop a little bit. Is this just how sports are or is it something else??? my revs on the clock don't move at all, they stay the same, was told that theres nothing wrong wiv the exhaust so i'm not to sure?!?!?
Any ideas???

172s/182s have a lumpy idle.

Something to do with VVT and emissions.

I wouldn't worry about it.

My 172 does this a bit, although the revs do change on the counter when it's happening. Not a problem though. This is my first winter with mine so I'm interested to see if it gets worse on colder days.

yeh i've not even had mine a week and already i gotta pay for a new engine mount . but was just wondering if there was a reason for it but i guess not, must just be how they are. i tend to let mine warm up first before driving it in the cold as they don't like going in cold weather much
