Hi guys, having some problem with the Dynarat. So my initial guess was that the clutch is on its way out.
Basically, usually itll idle at ~800rpm, so whether im coming to a junction and i have the clutch engaged or its sitting there, itll idle at that same old speed.
Recently however, ive been finding that when i engage the clutch and im still moving (And for about 8 seconds after i stop and become stationary) it will idle at about 1500rpm, and then eventually go down again to its normal idle. The Clutch feels fine, although ive always thought its been made from pastry and chaning from 1st up into second can make the car judder a bit (Doesnt happen usually only on rare occasions).
But then i came across something else today, and im not sure if its related or not. I got home and parked up, so as usual it sits there idling at 1500rpm and eventually dies down to the norm. I switch off, and out of curiosity switch it back on again. It starts idling at 1500rpm ffs, when the engine is cold it idles at this speed for a bit, but ive just done a 20 minute journey so the engine was very warm, look at the temp guage, and its stone cold , about 20 seconds later it realises that actually its fully warm and starts to idle as normal.
So any ideas? Is my clutch dying or is there something else you think could be the matter with it ? Hopefully gunna get My friend over to look at it (Mechanic) but id like your opinion. Thanks for the help, if i get any.
