I had the problem like loadsa you with stalling etc so i ftted a new idle control valve after going to renault and getting a diagnostic, after fitting the car ran like new and the electrical fault light went out.
But today i could smell burning and the car lost all power and just conked out. Popped the bonnet open and the engine was boiling, no dash warning lights at all.
I'm thinking what to try replacing next, i'll check the spark plugs but i'm confused. One minute it'll be fine, the next it'll be on the verge of stalling. could it be the injectors? It's a Mk2 with only 60k.
Any ideas?
