Identifying Which Gearbox

Hi,

My understanding, from reading a few threads, is that the early Ph2 172s (non-cup) could potentially have come with either the speedo or non-speedo drive box. How's the best way to be able to see this on my car visually? If anyone's got a picture to help the explanation of how to spot it I'd be grateful.

If its a speedo drive there is a large black sensor pointing diagonally to the bulkhead at the rhs of the box. It should have metal heat shield round it. If it doesnt have this then it not.
