how the **** do you get the old upper gearbox mount off????

mount is solid, supported the g box with jack, but not wanting to budge

thump the bolt with a hammer and/or let the jack off a little, to disturb it

got the nut off but mount won't budge

wind the nut out a bit, socket and extension on the nut, t**t with a hammer a few times and wala. Some do take a beating

the top gearbox mount?? Wind the nut back on a few threads, put a socket over the nut with a large extension and whack with a big hammer.

Make sure theres a small gap between jack and gearbox so it can move.

Right, what has worked for me is a hammer and something to impact, a ratchet extension etc, and try to hit it to the side, it will loosen adventually, it just gets stuck to the stud, keep hitting it from all sides and it will loosen mate

Pair of grips over on the rubber and wiggle it.
