How much would you pay for..

Went down my local dealer last night to see if they had any 172s in. They havent but are getting a cup in today or tomorrow. Its a 52 plate, done 13k miles. They are going to be putting it up for £9750

Is this a good price or not? I would love to get it, but dont want to pay over the odds for it.

He tried to sell me a 182, but there is no way i can afford one of those, they had one just delivered in ID yellow for their new demo car, think i might take it out anyway though!

I suppose you do. lol

Just another question to those that have driven both a normal 172 and the cup, is it that much quicker with out all the extra weight?

The guy at reno says they are as quick as the new 182, and lots quicker than a standard 172.

Just want an unbiased opinion really.

Thanks

difference isnt noticeable on the road as brazo who owns a cup will tell you. track may be different with two matched drivers tho

Loony has a point... get the comfy extras, a car from a member of a site you use and save yourself £1,250 which will (hopefully) pay your insurance and tax - worry free motoring.

I certainly wouldnt pay £10k for a 52 plate Cup.

Ive driven both and i think the cup feels quicker..

How about 9k for a 52 plate cup, private sale?

Normal 172s can be had really cheep now tho and an 02 for 8k is a good price imo

At the end of the day, Cups might be worth more.. depending on whos buying it.

If you dont want ABS for example, or the extra toys.. youd want a Cup.. which must make them worth more - 182s, you have to have the toys!

you can get a 54 plate 182 on import for £10,000 - £11,000

give me the details of were, coz there isnt anywere doing 182s for 10-11k, there is some for 11.6k, but you need to add alarm costs etc, so nearer 12k

Im not sure what i want really, all the fancy toys dont bother me at all, cause i dont have them at the moment in my car, so wouldnt miss having them in the cup. Plus i am just imagining here, that the cup would feel more sporty due to its cup extras. and it being more basic. Plus i love the colour of the cups.
