How good is Guardex Wax?

A mate of mine is a valleter, he seems to swear by the stuff. He reckons his shop place sells a box of it for hundreds (yet they only buy it for 50 or something) Is all his raving on about it actually truthful or is he blagging? Im not exactly up on wax etc

Not heard of this before, searched on Detailing World for Guardex but it didn't mention a wax but something like film preventing stone chips.
