Hiring a Polisher?!

  106 GTi
That is a rotary polisher, same as most bodyshops use. Is not a beginners tool as the PC is. You can burn through paint with one, an its fairly easy to induce holgrams in your paint with one. Practice on a old car or panels first if you do hire one.

yeh even the pros tend to follow up with a pc after using a rotary, so that not the best route unless you really do know what your doing, your far better off getting someone with a pc to help you

The rotary spindle just spins, where as the PC head spins, but the spindle occealates to make it impossible to put pressure on the pad in one spot for to long.

If you push down on the rotary it will not lose any speed and just keep biting into the paint, the PC motor will bog and slow down if you do the same.

Having seen the state of some cars a "pro" has mopped with a rotary i'd avoid it if you are a beginner personally.
