Hi from midlands based 182 CUP owner

Hi guys, another newbie....

Brought myself a completely standard Black Gold 182 Cup with 56k on the clock and a FSH few weeks back.

Its going in for a cambelt and service next week then planning a basic tune maybe a week or so after.

My main reason for the purchase was to build a track car and I'd always wanted a Black 182 to use for it. Im heading down the route of handling over silly BHP as im very much an amateur looking at learning as I go with most work probably being done professionally apart from some of the simple things. So aswell im interested in any Midlands based tuners and group buys expecially on the tuning front

Im also working my way through some of the great builds that I know are on are here for some inspiration and guidance so any advise you have on things like suspension, brakes, basic engine tuning, roll cages, interior stripping etc etc...I welcome all advise no matter how small.

Cheers guys, thinking of taking a roadtrip down to K-tec to get the tuning done at the same time.

Bit of a trek though so i'd take advise on somewhere more local thats reputable and if the price is decent.

welcome matt22 let me no results if u end up goin k-tec! coz my cambelts due end of the year, thinking of goin there soon gettin that done 310+vat and also stage2 at same time to help with exhaust. Rang them last week to order carbon fibre bonnet but were out of stock said would be in by end of this week!!!!!!!

TCR, they race in the clio cup series, yeah they are a good bunch of people. As above, Fred gets my vote, I had mine done with EJM Prep in Alcester.
