help please

i bought my clio sport in august and the previous owner had put a 'sports' exhaust on it.. its very loud and is starting to annoy me because i cant hear myself sing in the car :clown:
ive only put up with it this long because i was told it wakes up the neighbours, but i cant take it anymore.
my car knowledge isnt great.. but can anyone tell me if i can make it quieter without simply replacing the exhaust??
also is it going to be easy, cheap, difficult, expensive...

If you put some pictures up it will be helpful....
Also, I'm looking for a louder exhaust so may be interested in a swap if it's the right exhaust....

hi jack, been in touch with my mate and he says he can fit something for me... he did explain what it was but it went straight over my head.
