Right going away for the weekend and need my boot space for luggage so got to take out my sub. The power lead from the battery runs into a split fuse box in the boot, from that fuse box I'm have 2 power leads 1 to the amp (which I'm going to keep in) and 1 to the sub.

My question is (and please don't laugh if its stupid) do I have to disconnect the main power lead at the battery before disconnecting the sub power lead at the fuse box? I dont' want to give myself a shock and as you can tell I know sweet FA about car audio.

Thanks in advance

With IGN off simply remove the relevant fuse or power cable....

To be absolutely safe, (to protect equipment), you should ideally remove the battery earth first.....(guards against any chance of short circuit).....

A human body has a high resistance, so shocking from 12v is very doubtful....
