Headunit with REAR AUX imput

  04BGFF182CLIORS
I was looking into running a Connects 2 system on the standard HU, but I am now considering paying abit extra for an aftermarket HU to gain some better sound quality and features...

Ideally I want one with a REAR mounted AUX, so I can run the wire to the glove box/cubby under the climate controls to keep it tidy.

Any suggestions?

Budget ideally under £100!

Thanks :)

Just checked it out, gets great reviews and at that price (£45 at halfords atm) you can't really go wrong!

Go for it, be interested to see how it looks in the car - cheers!

Nope! I paid £70 for mine, but that was Oct 2011. Been brilliant though, and has had plenty of hammer! Only thing is it won't work with the stalk, however I just use my left hand ;) Will update with pictures shortly!

That was my only reason to be keeping the standard HU (and I like keeping things OEM where possible) but I think ill live without!

Are you still running standard speakers?

Tbh I thought the same at first, but I've never missed them!

No, uprated speakers all round, combined with Vibe sub. Speakers I have are on offer atm http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_773339_langId_-1_categoryId_265870 and are really good for what I paid. However dash tweeters are standard as I'm lazy and can't be bothered with taking my dashboard off!

In an ideal world it would be better to run these on the front (replacing the dash tweeters and door speakers) http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_828569_langId_-1_categoryId_265870

And these on the rear http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_773339_langId_-1_categoryId_265870

Thanks dude - I may look into some upgraded speakers in future - for now having a nicely situated AUX input will be a huge bonus!

Here you go, I hope these help. Also included photos of my audio setup. Excuse the size of the photos as they're huge, and also my messy interior

Thanks, looks good that - good thing with these cars is that the insides are easy enough to pull apart to run cables etc!

Cheers mate! Yeah it's so easy to hide wires, hardly any visible wires in my, and I have loads extra in mine all doing different things!

Sounds excellent as well, not dead bassy, just a nice mix of treble + bass

Edit: Did all the images load up correctly for you? They're acting weird for me :/
