Headlight Correction / Wash and Polish

  Fiesta ST3
Ok, ive been putting this job off for a while, but seeing as it was nice weather I thought I'd give correcting my headlights a bash.

Firstly a trip to my local Halfrauds was needed in order to procure:

Autoglym Super resin polish
Meguiars Scratch X 2.0
Microfibre cloths
Wet n Dry

To begin I soaked the wet and dry in some water, here is a pic of how my headlights started off:

I then started sanding until all the horrid bubbles had disappeared. A top tip here. If you think you have finished sanding, go over it a couple more times, I learnt this the hard way.

all masked up:

This next pic was it the end of the sanding process, as you can see, its pretty flat at this point

The hardest point of this job was the Super resin polish, A LOT of elbow grease is needed here, unless you using a machine polisher of course...

Old Vs New pic here:

All done:

I then gave the cup a wash and wax, all shinny:D

and that concludes a fairly hard days work, and as I have never attempted anything like this before, I think ive done ok. I know there not perfect though.

Thanks for looking

Jonny

Cheers for the comments guys.

I used 600 and 800 grit. But my advice would be to use finer stuff like 1000 and 1200
