Harness bar

  E46 M3 + Ph1 172
Possibly a stupid question

But has anyone managed to fit a good harness bar without it being in a cage?
Done some searches but only found clowns with them wrapped round the rear strut brace..

If I mounted a horizontal bar across from the wheel arches, when you'd mount the back feet of a cage, and use a decent spreader plate behind each side..
Sufficient, or would it be better to drill some holes in the boot floor and use eye bolts, at the best angle I can get?

Thats what I did in previous cars, but half the people here think its too much of an angle...

Use the original rear mounts at the top in the rear quarters.

You could fabricate a bar into that some how.

Failing that, as above just use the floor ones!

Yozzasport made a harness bar that was welded to the rear arches I am sure you could do the same with spreader plates, best search it.
