Gunk in coolant tank

Hi

On the Friday just gone(19th), I was out in my clio when it started to smell and steam started to pour from the engine. Managed to pull into a car park and opened bonnet to be welcomed by lots more steam and coolant all over gear box and bulk head, and huge puddle underneath car.

Left it to cool before opening expansion tank , when opened I found a build up of brown gunk, looked like someone had taken a sh*t in it.

Can any one help to as what it may be as it's rather thick.

Get a sniffer test done on it but it does sound like a HG

Not what I wanted to hear. Was hoping for someone to say flush coolant system as it may be blocked.
