Guess where the leak is! (pics 56k)

So the car is now pissing out oil at quite a rapid rate, took the covers off earlier to get a better look and took some pictures with the phone in the hope that some of you clio gurus out there could give me a hand in identifying where exactly the leak is coming from!

This is where I think the leak is coming from?

Picture of the bottom-half cover I took off, seems to be a lot of oil on the part which goes over the cog above?

------------------

Im thinking its come from behind that cog which I took a close up of? But im not sure, any help would be appreciated! Also as im not an expert on cambelts either, does the cambelt look worn as I was considering having it changed soon...

I was thinking of getting it changed when I get the oil leak sorted as its all got to come off anyway!

look behind the cam pulley, the big one right at the top, i do believe theres an oil seal there, that would prob explain all the oil just below it by the tensioner.

It would be a good idea to replace the belt anyway as its all contaminated in oil.

If youve got the green haynes manual for the Clio 1991 to May 1998 (Petrol) check on page 2C.7 It shows the oil seal

Cheers guys, guess Ill have to get a mechanic round to have a look and fix it for me! Dont fancy taking the cam belt off and all the bit etc

my camshaft oil seal went on my valver! looks like its around there somewhere. a mechanic will soon tell u. hopefully just a seal

looks like its comming from the rear offside of the head gasket or the camseal, oil is present very high up in that area.
