GT (128) with Cold Start Misfire/Hestitation - No Codes

  Clio GT 128
Hello all!

My first post on this forum - but I'm a serial poster on some others. New to Clio Sport because for a change I'm asking about my wifes car.

She's got a 2010 Clio GT (128bhp 1.6 Petrol) on 70k miles.

Its developed a misfire at low revs when we start it up cold. Once warm, it drives wonderfully. When stating cold now, it sounds rough, idles wobbly, and is hesitant to get going. The rough running makes it sound like the exhaust is blowing, but on inspection, I cant find any blowing at any point, right up to the head.

I've plugged in my OBDII reader - no codes.

I wondered if anyone on here new of any common faults that may cause this?

I remember my 172 back in the day having a dicky Coolant Temp Sensor that caused odd cold behaviour, bt I'm pretty sure this through up a code.

Really grateful in advance if anyone can help :D

Cheers,

Tom

Different car but I've just changed the coolant sensor on my 182 as it was misfiring when cold. No fault codes logged. Fitting a new one seems to have done the trick.

Cheers for the response mate. I wonder if I can check the CTS is working...maybe putting my multimeter on the pins? I don't suppose anyone knows the voltages that are meant to come off it?

P.S Faboka - did yours have two CTS'.....I.e one for the dash and one for the ECU?

:)

Cheers again, Tom
