Greenlight insurance now redlight....

Just called them for a quote as recommended on this forum if planning mods.... Before even taking any details they asked for what car. When I told them a 172 Cup, they said " We won't quote or insure Cups now as we've had too many high cost claims on them...." :clown:

I was given an alternative company whose quote was nearly double elephant.co.uk......

Yes that is the case, as statistically, people insured on the cup with greenlight were more likely to stack it than other 172/182 owners.

So they decided not to insure them anymore.

This is old news, they haven't insured cups for ages.

I did a search and a post came up only a couple of weeks old recommending them.... Surely they should just up their premiums??!?! You should see the Elise forum going into winter - it's stack central - no-one declines them!

They are recommended for all modded cars other than 172 Cups, lol.

EDIT: They give CS members discount aswell

Greenlight stopped insuring Cups and my premium went down £125 at renewal.

Could the two be related I wonder?
