Green grease

I just washed my car and discovered a deposit of green grease on the front drivers side wheel.

Where is it likely to have come from? Wheel bearing, steering rack, what else might it be?

Cv gaiter at a guess, either it's split or the clip holding it on has broken

As above. The useless Froggy clips last 4 to 5 years at best.
Mine a 53 plater and both have split and been replaced.

Right Fred, can you fix it whilst changing the cambelt + aux belt and servicing it?

Come to think of it, the first one was done under warranty, about 18 months in I think. They ended up fitting a new driveshaft.
I'd forgotten all about that.
