got a bit anal today..



took my wheels off, engine and machine cleanered them up as best i could, inside rim etc

then engine and machine cleanered all under the arch

its actually BLUE under there!!

couldnt find any decent place to jack the rears up though so couldnt do them..

If you've got a trollry jack, jack them up in the middle of the rear, about 1ft in, there is a nice solid rear beam.

What's wrong with using the normal jacking points?
That's what I did with the Megane and just use the standard scissor jack too.

they bend, the paint cracks off, and then they look nasty!

Jacking points in my old R5 eventually went a bit "moth eaten"

Oh right, fair enough.
The Megane jacking points are quite good as they are indents under the sill so you cannot see them at all.

I did the same mate today. Jacked each side to take the Turinis ready for new tyres. Lceaned inside both sets of wheels (Turinis and std) and also cleaned and jet washed inside the arches. It looks so much better now. I even cleaned my springs with a rag.
