Go Pro Hero 1 or 2?

Anyone got either of these and can tell me whether the 2 is worth £100 more.

Looking to get one for the amg collection and drive back from Germany, looking at the Motorsport 2 for £270, the 1 is £100 less, not sure if that comes with the suction mount though.

Anything else I'd need to go with it too, how long does the battery last?

Thanks

Really, ok, I'll take a look, thanks

Reading up, looks like I may need a skeleton case and car adapter for USB so I can charge it while filming in the car.

Also I think I'll need the external screen, as if not I won't know what I'm filming on the way back until I get back, which isn't ideal.

Me and Cadab have the HD Hero 960. We bought it from america as it was cheaper, yet we did get caught and had to pay the £25 VAT thingy. :/

Anyways, the camera is really good. We didnt go for the 1080 as it was alot more money when we bought ours and you can really tell the difference in the quality.

We didnt get the screen as thought it wasnt needed, and there has never been a time where we wish we got one.

We did buy a suction mount from eBay for £25 and its brilliant if you put them on correctly ;) - Watch the video!

That video was filmed the day we got it.

We also use the camera when we go paintballing.

The GoPro is one of the best cameras we have bought.

We want to try it under water but we have not had the opperunity yet. :)

Screen isnt a big deal, fit the mount, record a test run, see if its adjust right or not, its normally pretty obvious where its pointing so unlikely you cant work it out.

Only real advantage to the hero2 is better resolution really, so depends what you want the footage for, if its for posting on the internet then its probably of no extra value anyway.

Think my hero2 battery is meant to last about 5 hours or so, but havent ever tried using it for that long in one go to test it.

I'll be picking a car up at the factory and then driving it off, I won't be mounting it, recording stuff, then getting my laptop out etc, I just want to mount it and go in this particular case, so that's why I think I should get the screen.

Ive been reading about 2 hours for the battery from reviews.
