glaze, polish, wax ?

  106 GTi
In Brief ...

A glaze is a very mild polish or even non abbrassive product. Can fill swirl marks, gives a nice gloss, depth and wet look to the paint.

A polish does just that, polishes your paint. These can vary in abbrassive levels in order of what defects need to be removed. The correct grade of polish and pad can restore your paint.

A Wax locks in and seals the shine created by the above and protects your paintwork.

Some products are true glazes, polishes or waxes and do just the above, but certain products are a combination of the above and both polish and protect. A good example of this type of all in one product is Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Which does polish, but also protects.
