i just had to double check you had me worried i ordered the wrong wheels haha, fingers crossed they'll be here tomorrow.

looking forward for the puzzle of parts to come together should be a awesome little car once mapped, im hoping the whiteline rear ARB is going to make a big difference to how it handles

get a gti for sure or they also do a 1.4tsi in manual my mum has one its a bluemotion one looks very smart.

wheels arived to day they deffinatley wont be to allot of peoples taste but hey its my car not theirs.

wheels are xxr 527, in the flavor of 17x8.25 et 35

also a forge recirc and ecs sump and gearbox magnetic bungs

no updates as of yet tyres are a nightmare to get hold of for the type/size im after.

and the car has developed a misfire so she has to go back to vw to be looked over. so frustrating when i have all these parts ready to fit on the car

And to top off this week i come out of my Home-stay to find someone has hit my car and driven off. So gutted about it, it makes me so angry that someone would do it and not say anything, people just don't respect anything

on the plus side lowering springs and tyres have been ordered

Think yourself lucky. That's an easy fix. I should mention, make sure the bodyshop spend time matching the colour. It can be a nightmare.

i can see were your coming from but i shouldn't have to pay for it in the first place, honesty seems to be in very short supply these days. without coming across as a prick i work f**king hard to have a nice car and when someone does something like this it really gets under my skin.

i know a good body shop that does allot of work for Porsche,Audi,BMW,Ferrari etc wont be cheap but i want a decent end result, the pain is going to be fitting it around work

Shame about the damage the misfire maybe down to the plugs( I've read about issues with them)

If your doing any performance work its worth upgrading them & replacing them more frequently

you would be correct, got the car back today and that was what i was told, high carbon build up on the plugs

now that shes back i had a look at the damage again gave it a quick polish and the Majority of the scratches have came out the black that's left is bare plastic.

hopefully il get the inter-cooler, recirc valve and boost hoses fitted, ready for the car to go off for a turbo back and mapping at AMDTuning

could you give me an insight in to common faults with them ? i get what you mean i had a 63 plate 1.4 polo for the courtesy car and i hated it, it felt so cheap compared to the GTI !

so i fitted my front mount on Sunday with a little help from the missus. allot bigger job than i was thinking. ill let the pictures do the talking

hopefully i can get some better pics this weekend

and if my springs arrive get then fitted to the car also

please enlighten me to the problems, iv searched and all i can seem to find is other peoples opinion no one that actually has one. in a high state of tune i can imagen there will be problems but that's with any tuned vehicle.

I'm addressing the oil consumption issues now the car has already been to VW for the recall breather setup. iv also ordered new spark plugs and thicker oil 0w40 instead of the standard 5w30

big update today got my arse i gear and fitted my springs recirc and wheels after going and getting my new AD08R s

boring bits first after fitting my recirc i realised the vac hose was rubbing on the underside of the engine cover

so i removed the offending area causing the problem before it causes any

then upgraded spark plugs and thicker oil as these are 2 areas on the 1.4 tsi that need addressing

then off to pick up these lovely tyres as they came in early more pics to come of lowering and wheels on the car

Great little cars these my wife has a fabia vrs which makes 194 bhp and is completely standard !! dsg is awesome only thing i can complain about is the steering lacks feel.

trying to organize a photo shoot with my mate to really show of the wheels my poor photography skills do it no justice

hurdy managed to get his car to 5secs flat id be happy with that sort of figure that's ideally what im aiming for, a few people are running over 300hp but im yet to find out what mods and setups they are using, reading about it when you get in to the mid to high 200's you start to get clutch slip

i shall see how she performs on the 14th at AMDtunning after a turbo back and mapping session

there dosent seem to be allot of info on it, most of the people that are really pushing these are in different countries, there is a clutch and flywheel kit for these but im struggeling to find out were to get it.

i have a few ideas of how id get to 300hp if i get bored with it haha such as a Ko4 turbo, custom manifold upgraded fuel system and a forged engine.

i need to do a bit more research on it all tbh

thats correct as well as the Cupra R and audi s3 so should be good for around 300hp
