Gearbox popping out of first..

As title really...

When in first, say approaching a junction in traffic, stop/start and as you back off the throttle it'll pop its self out of gear but only in first gear.
Would anyone be able to enlighten me as to a cause and/or solution?

It has a good condition poly mount fitted @Carlv8415

It's either worn engine mounts or the gearbox needs a strip and rebuild.
You could always try adjusting the linkage but I'm not convinced it'll work tbh.

Think i'll opt for the gearbox @NorthloopCup there is a very faint whine at the low end of final drive.

Yeah, I think you need a rebuild. I get it popping out of 1st, I get a crunch in 4th and it sounds like a straight cut box at the low end.
I think I also have slop in my Diff...

And its been like this for 2 years!
