Frozen Handbrake Cable

Bit of CS knowledge please...

Went to move my car this morning and the handbrake was frozen on. Lever went up & down but the brake stayed on. Have since managed to move the car and drag it's limp ass from out on the drive to under our car port, with the rear wheels finally moving a tad, and left it with the handbrake off so it can hopefully free itself.

Any ideas on aiding this process? There's also no feel in the lever when pulling it up or down now - worried I'll have no handbrake?

Warm em up somehow, heatgun/ hairdryer or something?

Oh you have handbrake alright,it's just on all the time.

Mug of hot/luke warm water, give the rear caliper area a splash.
