french style pressed number plates

im thinking about doing subtle mods to my 182 to try and make it look a little different. i really like the look of the french style pressed number plates. Are they legal to have on your car in this country ?

i used these people at fcs this year http://www.performancefrenchcars.co.uk/content.php?228-French-Style-metal-pressed-number-plates got pressed plates on my 182 just passed the mot too. the tester said that plates without a little black stamped code in the corner (b.s number??) are not a registerd company and their plates are illegal. something along them lines anyway:S.

i got pulled with pressed plates, they were more arsey about the F symbol rather than them bein pressed and also with no address and bs number, £60 fine, so not worth it imo

Their legal unless like above they do not have the legal requirement of the BSAU number in the corner.

The font is also incorrect as it doesn't comply with the ANPR cameras the Police use.

Got these on my car, not legal an some guy got pulled and told to remove them in town but hey ho, nobodys moaned at me yet

they do look great and arent that expensive so would recommend!

They look good but as already said they are illigal as well as getting pulled by the old bill you will alos fail the MOT
