french cr*p 172 had a funny moment!

rite went to take the gf home about half hour ago engine was cold started the car lights did not turn on automatically when they should of! the fan thats cools the engine when its getting hot was on even tho the engine was stone cold :S very strange i think tell me if im wrong? and the serv light was on! car was ticking over fine.

any 1 els had the same problem? and any 1 got any idea of wot the fault code may be?
