Fitting new bulbs ( headlights)

Ok so the dipped beam I think, it uses h1 bulbs I took it out to replace and treys to put the new one in struggled a bit as it's awkward but the new one doesn't work and I pulled out a wire witch I didn't know what is is I think I put it in the right place but who knows, so anyway anyone know how to take out the full headlight

if its the same as mk2 front bumper off and 3 bolts holding the light in
