Fitting dorman fuel rail connectors

Evening all

Having a nightmare, got Croft booked for Sat and connector to fuel rail has decided to not clip on properly and leak when knocked

Option 1 was renew pipe - Renaults system is down and no uk stock so thats off the menu for this week

Option 2 of renew fitting - got some on order should be here tomorrow

Option 3 is to shoot down to pirtek or motorscope and get some braided fuel hose to clamp onto new fitting and renew the lot to joint under subframe

Any tips on fitting new fuel rail connectors to existing pipe ? Ive watched the vid and can make a clamp up to aid knocking on of fitting to original fuel line.

it is pretty much as easy as the videos make it out to be, just don't fall into the trap of warming/heating the pipe.

Do you carefully clamp the pipe and knock on ? Ive never done one before. Might have a trial run on the carbon canister pipe i removed yesterday.

i wouldn't really use the word carefully when i've fitted them ?
