If you go to renault expect to pay £790 give or take. I was quoted £420 from a private garage. These are prices for a timing belt kit and an accessory belt kit. Your best bet is to go to a specialist on the forum, their prices are far better value.

bloody hell!!! didnt expect that price! well defo wont be going to renault you can buy a car for that price lol do you know any specialists on here?

  172
People like BTM performance/fred (Birmingham) TDF (london ish) Birchdown (no idea, not southcoast though) Rentech (portsmouth) etc always get recommended but there are other specialists. Have a look in the traders section.

I found K-tec in the New Forest to be the cheapest at £420ish inc everything but £500 seems to be an average price.

Given the amount of problems this forum sees due to dodgy cambelt changes, it would appear a specialist is a very good bet.

EDIT: It's usually more like £350 to £450 if you have a model without climate control such as the 172 cup.

Didnt notice you had a cup. It will be considerably cheaper than what I posted above.

182 Cup so will be excactly the same as a normal 182. As above £450 for both belt kits, budget extra for things like knackered dephasers.
