First DSLR....

Hi guys,

i posted on here a while ago about slr's as i know a few of you use them!

Well i have now chosen which camera to get - Sony Alpha A200. I dont have all the money in the world and have read quite a few reviews which give the camera nothing but praise. Im not going to turn in to a professional photographer and i really just want the camera for some 'recreational' use.

Wondered what peoples perceptions of them were, anybody have one, used one? Opinions most welcome!

Am watching a brand new one on ebay at the moment which only has a day left and no bids at £180!!

The cheapest i can find it online is £284 from Dixons so the ebay price seems a steal if it is indeed "new"

it may be refurbished, check it has a warranty.

That website is brilliant, was going to look at paying £200 for a second hand canon 300d but think I'll spend the extra and get the Sony, thanks,

£200 on a 300D is a fair bit for an old body, that kind of money can see you a decent 350D or maybe even a decent newer body.
