for checking if cars are insured or not..? does this follow the police database thingmy?

seems pretty spot on as i just insured my car and it has came up as insured...

might be a "smaller" insurance company...apparently these might not show up...

Every car I've ever owned is still insured! I sold a Clio in 2002 with 105k on it, god knows what it must be on now.

How does my company car work then?

Its a main dealer with 100's of cars on the forecourt but only one insurance policy that covers any employee to drive any of them.

Maybe why thats my clio is not showing on there??

hmm...good point...

the police would register you as "uninsured"...but then they would pull you and u could show the docs...

Maybe your reg isnt added to it? Its just any car that your company is the registered owner of is insured under that policy?

As otherwise if you have 100's of cars, you'd be calling everyday to add more and take some off.

I transferred 2 registrations only last week and this website picks them up correctly!

Surprising that alot of the Mark 1 clios ive typed in are shwoing AS NOT Insured, including me. So i dug deeper and found out im not even on the MID which i have access to. However i am insured with valid docs.

Phoned insurance company and they said they would sort it.

Going to wait until tuesday to double check im on it.

My first car - my Nova SR - isn't on there. Some chav probably dropped a Calibra engine in it and wrapped it round a tree.

My Tigra, Peugeot 306, Ka and 172 are all on there know, good to know they're all still on the road. Well actually I don't care about Pug or the Ka.

Teehee we've just done all the neighbours' cars.

I did a check on mine and its on there. My mums old car isnt.

Anyone know how I can trace the owner? I would have thought it would be on a scrappy now, but would love the plate.

Did an RAC check (paid for!) and that didnt tell me :-(
