Hi i'd like some advise on whats the best filter to get for my 172.

I have the KTR PANEL FILTER FOR 172/Cup/182:

I was looking at getting a pipecross viper kit but i've heard some people feel that it's restrictive which sounds quite odd for a viper kit

The ITG pannel filter seems to be very popular

I have a 182 manifold, decat and magnex stainless cat back. What are peoples opinions on which filter i should get and would there be any difference between the k-tek filter i have and the ITG?

i would keep the k-tec filter. pretty much the same thing as the itg. i wouldn't run a viper personally.
make sure you clean and re-oil your filter every 6 months to a year

A little extra yeah not a major amount though as it is still a pannel filter

Nope, dought any insurance company would bother opening the airbox :approve:

if i were you i would just disconnect the side feed from the airbox and remove all of the feed pipework.
