very nice,
foreground a tad dull on the lake pics maybe?
Is this on your tamron?

As Im bored, here's a quick edit of one of the pics (hope you dont mind!)

Just increased exposure a tad, and I applied a grad ND filter to bring out the clouds a little.

ANd if anything, that could probably have another slight exposure increase too!

Nice wintry scenes.

Expanding on the comments above, I would suggest looking at the histogram for the photos you've taken every now and again...although I try not to 'chimp' too much, the histogram display when reviewing photos on the camera can give you a good idea how well exposed the photo is. The aim is to have a reasonably balanced...check out this link for a much fuller explanation - http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/understanding-series/understanding-histograms.shtml.

Also another thing to bear in mind, in the scene is generally quite bright i.e. like snow, this can tend to full the camera light meter into underexposing the shot. Typically, as a rule of thumb you may need to increase the exposure (versus the camera light meter) by about 1 stop..... i.e. instead of f4.5 1/100, you may need f.45 1/50, to get a good exposure.

Cheers

Lovely... I went out with mine, could get anything to the scale of these. Mind you, in only on a bridge.

Thanks for that Paul

I have enough trouble debating with myself over what aperture/shutter speed to use for each scene lol
