External Temperature Sensor

  1.5dci
The reading in the car has been wrong for ages and i'm getting annoyed at it, so is there an easy way of replacing it as don't really want to faff with removing actual body panels or the dash or anything.
Also guessing the part is just a order from Renault part, just to get the sensor, or will I have to buy a whole wing mirror or something silly. Thanks

  Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
you can get the sensor seperate, go to a local scrap yard, it will be pennies from there

If you look under the passenger side mirror the sensor is that little nipple like thing poking out of the bottom! Fairly easy fix just take off the casing of the mirror, snip the fires and solder the new sensor on (or tape if you're feeling bodgy). ;)

Scrap yard is your best bet, although it is a fairly common problem with alot of clios suffering from it (water ingress). Got mine direct from Renault for £20.
