Hi All,

Quick question, replacing back box on my other halfs 206 at the weekend.

What's the best stuff to use for sealing the joint? Sealant or Putty?

Thanks

Rtv Silicone, it's flexible and has a very high temperature of 180 degrees c.
Used it for years.

We're selling it in a month or so time so it'll just be a second hand/scrap yard jobby. Was going to patch hole up but it's massive and blowing like a good 'un.

Any recommendations on which sealant to use or are they all pretty much the same?

I've used bathroom sealant on my focus St before because I could not find the other high temp stuff I had and it was fine for over 2 years when I removed it to sell the car.
